In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of communication apps on the Android platform in Serbia showcased notable trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the weekly downloads and revenue for the top apps in this category.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 6.5K in early October and peaking at 11.9K in the week of December 23. Despite no revenue generation, its user base continued to expand.

Rakuten Viber Messenger experienced a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $1K throughout the quarter. Downloads rose consistently, starting at 5.4K and reaching nearly 9.4K by late December.

For Yettel SRB, downloads demonstrated a strong upward trend, beginning at 5.2K and climbing to 8.8K by the end of the quarter. Revenue data was not available, but the app maintained healthy download numbers.
